| Note: Many TV sets - especially plasma - radiate interference which can affect the operation of "magic eye" remote extenders for a radius of up to three metres! Consequently, there's no way we can guarantee that our "magic eyes" will work reliably under all circumstances. You can minimise the risk of problems by using double-screened coaxial cable and fully shielded wall sockets. Wall plates are listed here and here. "I want to use a 'magic eye' to control my Sky Digibox which is in a cupboard. No problem. Connect any SkyLink "magic eye" to RF Outlet 2 on the Sky Digibox, like this: "I want to use a 'magic eye' to control my Sky Digibox which is in a cupboard. I have another remote control upstairs." You'll need to use a T120 or F120 amplified splitter connected to RF Output 2. One of the amplifier outputs goes to your living room "magic eye; the other one goes to your second TV set via another "magic eye". Alternatively, the other amplifier output can be cabled upstairs to a distribution amplifier (e.g. another T120 or a T140) or to a Loft Box to feed several more TV sets. Be sure to use double-screened cable for all connections. |
