DOWNLOAD Instruction sheet (Triax) Windows users should "right click" a DOWNLOAD link above and choose "save target as" to save the PDF file without launching Acrobat Reader. If you "left click" then Acrobat Reader may launch and act as a "helper" for your browser, preventing the file from being saved in its original form. Mac Users should "ctrl-click" and select "save linked file as" (or similar). If you do not have "Acrobat Reader" you will also need to download that from here:- USEFUL TRIAX PHOTOS BELOW (with grateful thanks to Peter Bagshaw) What the complete Triax assembly should look like. (The support tube may be mounted upside down if required.) Plastic moulding clipped in place. LNB arm fitted. Rear bracket bolted in place. The bracket will accomodate a 38mm (1.5") diameter pole or mount but you'll have to order longer U bolts. There's a faint and approximate elevation scale on the bracket but, cleverly, Triax have made the datum point invisible! The red arrow shows where it ought to be. To find out where to point your dish, and the elevation angle, click HERE. Finalise the rough alignment with a meter as shown HERE. View of rear bracket assembly parts. Smaller U bolts are for the wall bracket. Big ones for the dish. When fitting the LNB pole to the dish bracket, fit the plastic guide to the hole in the actual dish first, then slot the pole in. The fixing bolt isn't quite long enough to expose enough thread to get the nut on the other side so use some pliers/molegrips to squeeze the clamp together enough to get the nut started. The early MTI QUAD S81901070 LNB kit. (The LNB supplied may be different.) Use the shorter adapter with the plastic pin. In theory, the LNB is at the correct focal position when the pin fits through the hole in the arm. In practice there's a large variation between LNBs so you can often pull the LNB back or push it forward and achieve a slightly higher signal level. The later MTI QUAD S906009976 and its OCTO equivalent are supplied without adapters. The 28 x 18.5mm spigot fits directly into the dish arm. The small plastic "pin" is normally attached to the adapter moulding but sometimes falls off and gets lost. If you can't find it, please use a suitable substitute, such as a screw. The small plastic "pip" on this adapter must be removed. (The zone-1 dish arm has a slot for this but the zone-2 hasn't.) The dish arm aperture measures 28 x 18.5mm for a Mk3 LNB (or Mk2 with suitable adapter). Viewed from the front, the LNB hangs vertically downwards. For most of the UK, it needs to be rotated clockwise by about 20 degrees (position 3). Adjust this "skew" position to give best "signal quality" indication on the Digibox menu screen. Raven RAV-BJ44 LNB. Note that most LNBs have a pull-down cover. Provided that you use plenty of silicone grease in and around the 'F' plugs, no other weatherproofing should be required. NOTE: As stocks of early LNBs dwindle, we may supply a MK4 LNB (sometimes has a spirit level) and a separate adapter. ©2009 SatCure Send this page address - CLICK HERE - to a friend ! Note: We were supplying the "Raven" dish but, since Raven moved their manufacturing to the USA, supplies have become intermittent (dwindling to zero). So we are now supplying the TRIAX version.
